With a gated entrance and surrounded by woods, Gracefield House is home to a large family of orphans happy to live together under Isabella’s care.
The children are allowed to spend their time as they like, generally playing outside, as long as they do not stray too far from the orphanage—a rule they are obliged to abide by no matter what.
A kid is adopted and brought to life with their new family every few months, but all wonderful things must come to an end since they are never heard from again.
The three oldest siblings, however, have their doubts about what is truly taking on at the orphanage and are about to learn the awful fate that is in store for the kids living at Grace Field, as well as the perverse character of their cherished Mama.

The Promised Neverland is a Japanese manga series written and sketched by Kaiu Shirai. From August 2016 to June 2020, it was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump, with chapters collected in 20 tankbon volumes.
CloverWorks produced an anime television series based on The Promised Neverland, which aired on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block.
Norman, Emma, and Ray are the smartest children at the Grace Field House orphanage, and their story centers around them. The Promised Neverland is an excellent Anime with a compelling story, endearing characters, a menacing antagonist, superb animation, a skillfully used OST, and the finest opening this season.
I’m pleased with how well The Promised Neverland performed. Horror Anime is challenging to do well. Only one horror Anime, Happy Sugar Life, even last year, truly captured the horror genre.
Incorporating shonen aspects to heighten the atmosphere of a situation, the horror in this series is unsettling, suspenseful, tense, and horrifying. It understands that it can’t be frightful all the time but that it must build up to it and not use it frequently so that its effect doesn’t diminish.
In this series, Cloverworks is in charge of the animation. a studio that has been operating for almost a year and produced the animation for Persona 5 and Bunny Girl Senpai, two Anime series. I, therefore, had no idea what to anticipate.
Well, I’m happy to report that The Promised Neverland’s animation is excellent. But two aspects, in particular, are what make it great.
The character’s motions are fluid, which is the first important aspect. They move naturally when they run or when they are afraid, so there isn’t much frame-by-frame motion to observe. The flow is excellent.
Facial expressions are the other key aspect.
In this series, they are particularly expressive when the kids are worried because their constricted pupils, tightened-up features, and subtle motions indicate that they are usually afraid of the environment.
However, there are certain faces, like Krone’s numerous horrifying expressions or Isabella’s numerous serene and cunning looks, that would cause even the faces in Higurashi to tremble slightly.
It heightens the dread by being aesthetically frightful. Something simple yet eerie at the same time is making you frightened or uneasy.
This series does not make much use of the soundtrack. The only sound we hear most of the time is the characters’ speech and their footsteps on the ground or wooden planks.
This is frequently to our advantage since we only need to hear these sounds to become nervous because we know someone or something is approaching. Only when it is necessary to accentuate a scene does the OST play.
The soundtrack may be rather ominous at times since it wants to amp up the scene’s fright quotient and make you shudder with terror. They contribute a lot to a scene, and the fact that they are utilized so seldom makes it even better.
Is The Promised Neverland scary?
YES! The fact that we are naturally motivated to protect children since they are unaware of the dangers in the outside world is what makes this show frightening.
You worry about the kids when they learn the truth. Since they are innocent and didn’t deserve their destiny, you fear for their safety.
You frequently hold your breath to check on them to make sure they are safe. You desire their survival. You have demonstrated to us their fate and the peril they face.
The program does, however, leave some unanswered questions for us to consider and learn about in the future, giving us both something to anticipate and something to be afraid of when we learn the real reasons behind these occurrences and why security is so scant.
While not all of the questions are addressed, some of them are, and the rest are left up to our speculation.
Now, this program enjoys building things up and does a terrific job of it. It builds this great escape plot to get everyone out of the orphanage. Anyone would go crazy watching this show because of the anticipation and need to know what happens next.
This is primarily due to the excellent pace and timing of information disclosure, which keeps you on the edge of your seat. The makers of this Anime know when it is appropriate to frighten, unnerve, and make you feel uneasy, as well as when to soothe you. To keep you on edge, they play with your emotions.
But if the tension keeps growing, a resolution is required. Even while it might cut it a little too close, it does pay off in this season’s closing episodes.

It depends on the individual, but those under the age of 13 shouldn’t watch The Promised Neverland.
Anything younger may be quite frightful. Just picture your youngster seeing this and believing that the cute couple in the Anime would adopt the kids. They would be shocked to learn that they are being eaten by monsters. It’s the type of animation that might easily give kids nightmares.
When selecting an Anime for your youngster to watch, exercise extreme caution. The Promised Neverland is a gloomy Anime to avoid until you are certain that they can take it.
When did The Promised Neverland becomes too dark for you?
Obviously, that time when you discover the truth at the beginning.
I believe it is the first time you get to discover demons eating human children. Because after that, it’s sad, great, and a little tragic, like Yugo and Lucas’ deaths.
Isabella, often known as Mom, is a significant character in The Promised Neverland and the adversary in the Introductory and Jailbreak Arcs. Isabella worked as a caretaker in Grace Field Home, caring for the orphans who lived there.
Although she appears to be a caring and affectionate mother to the children, she truly has a twisted character and is distant from their awful fates.
