The Son Family (Fun Facts)

The Son Family sometimes referred to as the Goku Family, is the main family in Dragon Ball.

There are six members who have been identified, in addition to extended relatives. One of the two families in the series with both Saiyan and Earthling ancestry is this one.

Son Goku, a figure from popular Chinese and Japanese cultures whose name is the Japanese translation of Sun Wukong, serves as the series introduction to the Son Family. The Son Family does not have a naming theme, in contrast to the majority of related characters.

In the series, the Sons are identified as a Mount Paozu-based family. the Sons’ last name is placed in front of each person’s name, which is consistent with family names in the actual Eastern cultures, supporting the idea that they are an Eastern family.

The Sons also favor wearing traditional Asian-style outfits as their everyday attire.

The primary family in Dragon Ball is the Son Family, also known as the Goku Family.

What is Dragon Ball?

Dragon Ball is a Japanese media brand established in 1984 by Akira Toriyama. Toriyama’s original manga was serialized in Weekly Shnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters collected into 42 tankbon volumes by its publisher Shueisha.

Toriyama’s manga was adapted and divided into two Toei Animation anime series: Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, which aired in Japan from 1986 to 1996. In addition, the studio has created 21 animated feature films and three television specials, as well as two anime sequel series, Dragon Ball GT (1996-1997) and Dragon Ball Super (2015–2018).

Dragon Ball mostly chronicles the exploits of the Saiyan Son Goku; after meeting Bulma at the start of the series, the two embark on an expedition to collect the seven Dragon Balls, a collection of orbs that summon the wish-granting dragon Shenlong.  Later, Goku obtains martial arts instruction from Kame-Sen’nin, meets his lifelong companion Kuririn, and competes in the “Strongest Beneath the Heavens” Martial Arts Tournament against the world’s most powerful fighters.

When the Demon King Piccolo, and later his son Piccolo, attempt to take the earth, Goku obtains training from Earth’s deities in order to defeat them.

He later evolves into a Super Saiyan and defeats the deadly alien tyrant Freeza; this sets the tone for the rest of the series, with each monster the protagonists face growing stronger than the last, necessitating additional training.

Who are the Son Family?

The Son family, often known as the Goku Family, is the main family in Dragon Ball, with six recognized members, as well as extended family and an indeterminate number of unknown individuals. This is one of only two families in the series with both Earthling and Saiyan ancestors.

The Son family is introduced in the anime by the character Son Goku, whose name is a Japanese on’yomi version of Sun Wukong, a prominent Chinese and Japanese cultural figure. The Son family, unlike most connected characters, does not have a naming motif.

In the series, the Sons are mentioned as a family from Mount Paozu. The assumption that the Sons are an Eastern family is supported by the placement of the Sons’ last name in front of the individual’s name, which is consistent with family names in real-life Eastern cultures. Furthermore, the Sons prefer to dress in traditional Asian costumes for everyday wear.

Gohan and Goten are the two children that Goku and his wife Chi-Chi had in Dragon Ball Z.

Furthermore, these two characters are just as much a part of the story as Goku is; they cannot be retconned away.

Moreover, Gohan and Videl are wed, and their child is named Pan.

Is Beat related to Goku?

Dragon Ball Family Tree

Beat is an Earthlin and Saiyan hybrid descendant of Goku.

He transformed into a Saiyan using the sophisticated time-travel technology found in the Dragon Ball Heroes’ machines.

He serves as both the primary promotional figure and a playable Saiyan avatar in Dragon Ball Heroes as the Saiyan Hero.

The beginnings of Beat vary throughout different media. Beat is a human-type Earthling in Dragon Ball Heroes who accesses his Saiyan avatar through the arcade machine.

Victory Mission, while categorized as an Earthling utilizing a Saiyan avatar in the arcade machine, is indicated to be a descendant of the since-deceased Goku. Victory Mission is implied to take place some years after the events of Dragon Ball GT but before A Hero’s Legacy.

His mother’s stunning likeness to Chi-Chi, which suggests that she is also a descendant of Chi-Chi and Goku, serves as proof of this, albeit it is unknown if Beat is a Goten or Gohan through Pan’s ancestor.

Beat’s identification as a hybrid Earthling Saiyan and a lineal descendant of the Z Fighter in World Mission establishes the relationship between him and Goku.

Beat’s competitiveness, love of SDBH bouts, possession of Goku cards, and ability to unconsciously employ ki defensively to cancel off blasts outside of the game world and before he obtained the Hero Switch all serve to further emphasize Beat’s Saiyan background.

Beat can also summon Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue while still in his natural physique. Beat was initially unaware of his connection to Goku, but he subsequently discovered the truth throughout the game’s events.

Who is the oldest son of Goku?

Gohan, unlike his father, is not naturally a warrior and he only gets into battle when the lives of his loved ones are at risk.
Gohan, unlike his father, is not naturally a warrior and he only gets into battle when the lives of his loved ones are at risk.

Half-Saiyan Son Gohan is one of the most well-known characters in the Dragon Ball series. He is the eldest child of Goku, the main character of the series, and his wife Chi-Chi.

He is also Goten’s older brother, Videl’s spouse, and Pan’s father. He bears the name Gohan in honor of Goku’s adoptive grandpa.

Gohan, unlike his father, is not a fighter by nature (though he does have a powerful inner force), and he only engages in combat when the safety of his loved ones is in danger.

But for most of his existence, Gohan battles alongside the Dragon Team to protect Earth.

Gohan had to use his excellent half-breed Saiyan potential and emotional reserves to defend the people he loves because as a young boy, he was a quiet, studious, intelligent youngster who lacked a Saiyan’s primal fighting drive. He succeeds in his goal of becoming a renowned scholar as an adult.

Gohan, a half-Saiyan, differs from most full-blooded Saiyans in terms of his ideals and attitude in that he does not find much enjoyment in battle.

But when he must engage in combat, he expresses a specific concern for defending his loved ones.

Gohan, like his father, is a kind person with a pure heart who will eat everything. He also has the normal Saiyan hunger.

Gohan genuinely likes martial arts training and going on adventures, despite his assertions to the contrary. It is also very evident that he delights in using his superhuman abilities, particularly while acting as a superhero.

He invented the Great Saiyaman persona in order to conceal his identity since he dislikes the fame and attention that come with it and wishes to maintain a low profile.

This is made extra clearer by the fact that he refused to publicly recognize Cell’s defeat at his hands after Mr. Satan erroneously claimed credit for it.

He acknowledged at the Zeno Expo that the challenge presented by Top of Universe 11 was exciting his Saiyan side, proving that despite his dislike of mindless violence, he loves fighting as a sport.

It’s likely that Gohan prefers not to engage in combat because of the numerous graphic and traumatic encounters he had as a youngster, which may have caused him to link fighting with unpleasant feelings.

In addition to caring about his family (and his schoolwork), Gohan shares a close bond with Piccolo, the erstwhile arch-rival of his father.

Piccolo decided to teach Gohan after Goku passed away because he could feel the boy’s enormous innate potential, which would be used to save the Earth from the Saiyan invasion.

Does Goku have a daughter?

Goku doesn’t have a daughter.

Even if Gohan and Videl have a girl called Pan, Chi-Chi and Goku could still be happy that they have a granddaughter.

Goku and Pan are great friends in Dragon Ball GT, thus in that sense, Pan is like his third child.

At the conclusion of Z, Goku prepares Pan to compete in the martial arts competition while she is dressed in his customary orange attire.
