Strongest Anime Characters Of All Time (Powerful)

Ninjas, mutants, demons, cyborgs, and aliens battle across Anime with sword strokes and energy blasts that are strong enough to sever steel and demolish entire mountains. Because Anime has such a diverse roster of characters and powers, it can be difficult to determine which Anime characters are the strongest of all time.

While certain personalities are unquestionably standouts, appraising powers is always subjective.

Distinct fictional universes follow different rules, making it difficult to compare them. Certain characters, however, seem to surge to the top due to common genre clichés and story beats across Anime. These are not only the strongest characters in their respective programs but also the strongest Anime characters of all time.

So, therefore, this list is my opinion only—and I’ll be ranking them based on feats and abilities so let’s get started!

Mob (Mob Psycho 100)

Mob with a bowl cut
His powers are so strong that he has to control his emotions to keep them from running wild and wiping out entire galaxies.

Shigo Kageyama, often known as Mob, is an immensely powerful esper who can kill anybody or anything with a single thought.

His abilities are so powerful that he has to restrain his emotions preventing them from going rampant, and destroying entire galaxies.

If he feels anything too deeply or falls unconscious, his abilities erupt and he wields powers comparable to large-scale natural disasters.

In addition to the nature of his talents being hard to defend against, the power behind them is so immense that even the most powerful psychic will bow beneath them.

Giorno Giovanna (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)

Apart from the fact that everybody he kills experiences an eternal cycle of death, Giorno doesn’t possess any particularly impressive attacking abilities.

While the Stardust Crusaders protagonist, Jotaro Kujo, is undeniably powerful, he’s no match to the Part 5 protagonist, Giorno Giovanna.

The latter’s Gold Experience Requiem (GER) standability is simply far too powerful, outperforming all other stands, including Star Platinum.

GER can reset actions to zero and can be activated in situations when time doesn’t exist. It may also function independently of Giorno, which means that even if he’s mortally wounded in battle, his stance will instantly return him to life.

As a result, he’s nearly immortal and possesses the kind of firepower required to make that count.

Essentially, any attack or action done against him is meaningless, as it’s indefinitely nullified. Giorno doesn’t have any major offensive feats, aside from the fact that anyone he kills goes through an endless cycle of dying, then reviving (thus returning to zero), and then dying perpetually.

Kaguya Otsutsuki (Naruto)

Kaguya Otsutsuki, Rabbit Goddess
As the Rabbit Goddess, Kaguya is highly popular.

Fans frequently see Naruto as being the most powerful character in his series, but even he can’t fight this specific character on his own.

Kaguya, also known as the Rabbit Goddess, is one of the most formidable antagonists in the Naruto franchise, as well as the most powerful woman in Anime.

Kaguya, who’s not natively from Earth, journeys to the planet to obtain the fruit of the Divine Tree. Her strategy was to consolidate power by making people fear her, which worked.

It’s easy to envision everyone being terrified of a person with the ability to read minds, modify memories, travel through space-time, and control the elements. She can repair her injuries by eating the fruit of the God Tree, making her practically indestructible and immortal.

Heck, even the two strongest shinobi Naruto and Sasuke couldn’t kill her, even with six paths of power they only barely managed to seal her away.

Simon (Gurren Lagann)

Simon from Gurren Lagann
Only beings with the power to wipe out entire worlds have a chance against Simon.

Simon is a basic earthling who uses spiral strength cause to terrible effects.

Simon can develop a drill with the potential to break reality apart and destroy anybody or anything that stands in his way while commanding a mech that spans galaxies.

With virtually God-like control over life, the afterlife, and reality itself, this metaphysics-bending warrior is virtually unbeatable and can demolish the world itself if he so desires. Only entities capable of destroying entire universes have a shot against him.

From now on, every character named is on a universal level.

Saitama (One-Punch Man)

Saitama from One-Punch Man
One punch from Saitama will kill you because he has nearly endless strength.

Saitama from One-Punch Man is arguably one of the strongest Anime characters. Even with new Anime coming out all the time, no one can compete with him, in terms of brute strength.

One Punch Man differs from most other combat Anime in that the protagonist is already the strongest person in the room, rather than aspiring to be so.

He can endure any blow and defeat any foe with a single severe strike after three years of intense training. However, Saitama feels melancholy as a result of his unrivaled strength, and the series tackles the emptiness that comes with fulfilling a lifelong goal.

Saitama is a powerful character since the character’s entire idea is that pursuing strength or one’s objective is more rewarding than occupying such a position. Although Saitama can’t create universes or alter space-time, he has nigh-limitless strength, so one punch from this guy, and you’re dead.

This is all you need to know about the character of Saitama before you begin the series!

Goku or Kakarot (Dragon Ball)

Goku
Saiyan blood makes him stronger after defeat because he now has access to the Power of the Gods through Ultra Instinct.

Although it may be argued that Zeno is the most powerful character in Dragon Ball, there’s a significant difference between power and strength.

Zeno might be able to wipe all of reality with the snap of his tiny little fingers, but considering his little stature, he probably wouldn’t fair well in a fistfight. Goku, on the other hand, is at home in such circumstances.

In numerous instances, the Super Saiyan has demonstrated to be Earth’s savior, overcoming nearly every hurdle he’s ever encountered.

Because of his Saiyan blood, defeat only makes him stronger, since he now has access to the Power of the Gods via Ultra Instinct. He’ll only get stronger as he begins to master that power as he has for the past 3.5 decades.

How strong is Goku Mastered Ultra Instinct?

Tetsuo Shima (Akira)

Tetsuo Shima from Akira
Tetsuo Shima’s powers become stronger over time, and eventually, he runs the risk of wiping out the universe.

Tetsuo Shima, Akira’s de facto antagonist, unleashes his limitless psychic powers after colliding with another psychic. His abilities gradually develop in potency, and before long he risks annihilating the entire cosmos.

Fortunately, he warps himself to a realm outside of reality, and the intensity of his psychic explosion creates an entirely new universe.

Only a few other Anime characters can simultaneously create and destroy reality, which makes Tetsuo one of the medium’s most powerful characters.

Kyubey (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Kyubey
Kyubey from Madoka Magica uses manipulation to keep the circle of destruction going on.

Kyubey from Madoka Magica is the embodiment of entropy or the universe’s heat death. He is omnipotent, immortal, and exists solely to destroy all of existence.

Despite his lack of physical strength, he manipulates people and reality into perpetuating the cycle of destruction that will inevitably result in the erasure of all matter in existence.

If something exists, Kyubey will destroy it, and there is almost no way to avoid his destructive influence. Simply said, his strength is oblivion, and only a handful of Anime characters have a fighting chance against this tremendous force.

Whis (Dragon Ball)

Whis An Angel
Goku, the Super Saiyan God of the Dragon Balls, could not defeat him at half of his maximum power.

Whis is Beerus’ attendant and martial arts instructor, as well as the strongest being in Universe 7.

Beerus has remarked that Whis is significantly more powerful than him. Whis struck out a raging Beerus with a single chop to the neck. Dragon Ball’s Super Saiyan God Goku could barely handle him at half his full strength.

Whis’s speed matches his might. He informs Goku and Vegeta that each of his limbs functions as a separate entity. This reduces the need for impulses to travel to the brain, allowing him to react considerably faster

Whis is undoubtedly a candidate for one of the strongest Anime characters, period, Whis is capable of stopping Gods and can think and reply instantly. He also has a very charming appearance.

Zeno (Dragon Ball)

The naive God is utterly powerful and able to annihilate anything or anybody at any time.

Fans would probably anticipate Son Goku to be the strongest of the Dragon Ball characters, but he can’t control everything.

Zeno is the monarch of all realities in Dragon Ball Super, and he has the power to create and destroy all of existence at the same time.

The child-like God wields absolute power and can wipe anybody or everything at any time. There’s no standing up to him, no one in fiction can go against this diety.

He has no specific moves or methods; he’s essentially an all-powerful God who dominates space and time with youthful recklessness. He’s wrecked many realities for his amusement and treats galaxies as if they were marbles.

There’s no means to oppose this God, and no one has a chance of defeating him in a fight.

Who is the strongest dragon in Dragon Ball Anime?

Shenron is the first dragon to appear in Dragon Ball history, as well as the strongest dragon in Dragon Ball Z.

Shenron, like most wish-granting Eternal Dragons, is a neutral character that grants any request within his ability, regardless of the aim of the wish or the nature of his summoner, even wicked beings like King Piccolo (who later killed him), Garlic Jr., and so on.

Shenron is typically very pleasant and polite and does his best to grant a request in a way that will offer the maximum joy to the summoner, even if it means advising against impracticable wants and suggesting alternatives unless the summoner truly insists.

How did Kaneki become invincible?

Kaneki obtained superhuman strength and the power to regenerate limbs and even his entire body in exchange for only being able to ingest coffee and human flesh.

This makes him a nearly unbeatable fighter who only becomes stronger with each injury.

Over the course of Tokyo Ghoul, Ken Kaneki transforms from a timid bookworm to the One-Eyed King, a figure of adulation. After transforming into a half-Ghoul and training his body, he can effortlessly topple large towns and lead armies of monster monsters capable of transforming people into Ghouls.
