Is Pokémon worth watching now?

Yes, it is!

The first season of Pokémon has the most serious content, even though subsequent seasons have gotten more cartoonish. But it has become better over time in terms of animation. Additionally, it has the most juvenile plot today while having the greatest animation.

Since Indigo was the first season and helped make Pokémon what it is today, it is unquestionably worth viewing. Although the animation was not as good as that of the younger generations, Ash, Misty, and Brock were the finest characters. Johto also didn’t let anyone down.

Nevertheless, it was excellent and well worth watching. Recommended. Had a lot of fillers, but you could omit them. The introduction of dual-type Pokémon occurred during this season.

A good series is Hoenn. nonetheless, some lengthy fillers. Not only was Ash on his finest adventure in years, but the rivalry May had on the competition circuit also came to a head as the season came to a close.

In my opinion, the last season, “Battle Frontier,” ranks alongside the first 40 episodes as the best season of “Pokémon.

Best Season of Pokémon

It might be tough to pick just one season as the finest. I enjoyed Gen 6 (Kalos) and Gen 4 (Sinnoh) the most out of all the generations. The finest season is, in my opinion, Season 19 of Pokémon the Series: XYZ.

Additionally, I like Seasons 13 (Pokémon DP: Sinnoh League Victors) and 18 (Pokémon the Series: XY Kalos Quest), but S19 narrowly beat them both.

The reason I choose Season 19 as the greatest season is due to several reasons.

The plot of S19 is thoroughly thought out, to start. It began long after the S18 incidents. Bonnie, Clemont, Serena, Ash, and Pikachu investigate the secrets of the Kalos area. The truth of Squishy and Zygarde’s origins!

Lysandre and Team Flare, who want to get the legendary Pokémon Zygarde and make use of the information it contains, serve as two compelling antagonistic characters. Additionally, we get to witness Alain, Sawyer, Tierno (Ash), and Miette, Shauna, and Nini as engaging rivals (Serena).

We observe a significantly more mature Ash (better than all prior generations including Alola), as well as Serena’s outstanding character growth.

I adore Ash-Greninja, period. There was nothing that Ash and Greninja couldn’t do after they perfected the form, except the Kalos League Finals matchup with Alain, which I honestly believed Ash would win!

Should I watch Pokémon in order?

In theory, you may begin watching Pokémon at any generation’s beginning. However, I suggest that you begin at the very beginning since it just offers a sense of completion.

Additionally, Anime is launched with the first Pokémon generation (Generation 1), which also gives certain character backstories.

In actuality, you may watch any generation following Generation 1 and 2. You might like the little differences between each generation. If you’re new to Pokémon, the following list will explain what unique qualities each generation has:

The first generation, from 1997 to 1999 in the Kanto region explains Pokémon and certain characters’ backstories. (Adventures on the Orange Islands, Indigo League)

Johto Region Generation 2 | 1999–2002: Basically, Generation 1 is continued. There is nothing exceptional else. You are free to skip this, however, I suggest watching it to simply “finish a journey. It is still regarded as the first generation.

Pokémon contests are introduced in Generation 3 – Hoenn Region | 2003–2005. Season 10 introduces the battle Frontier, alongside, new protagonists with advanced challenges and difficult battles

Pokémon contests are improved in Generation 4 (Sinnoh Region) (2006–2010). It’s a fantastic generation all around with lots of narrative development. New protagonists are seen. (Sinnoh League Victors, Diamond and Pearl, DP: Battle Dimension, DP: Galactic Battles)

Except for Ash, the Generation 5 Unova region’s primary characters changed between 2011 and 2013. Other than Pokémon-related events like “Clubsplosion,” there isn’t much new to report. Oh, and if you’re interested, the Pokémon Center has been remodeled and a new Nurse Joy is there. Likewise for Officer Jenny. (B&W: Rival Destinies, B&W: Unova Adventures, B&W: Unova Adventures and Beyond)

Except for Ash, Generation 6’s Kalos region from 2014 to 2016 has new lead characters. the Pokémon Showcase is introduced. I don’t notice any differences other than that.

Alola, Generation 7 continually ongoing and humorous.

Watching Pokémon as an adult

You can watch it for nostalgia.

Pokémon continues to be a global hit that has been able to rule any media it chooses. The Pokémon series has undergone meticulous modification over the years, and because of its solid base that never wavers, hundreds of tales and spin-offs have been produced.

One of the franchise’s most important cornerstones is Pokémon Anime, which has attracted viewers for more than 20 years. All ages may enjoy Pokémon, but the Anime series leans more toward the younger crowd. Despite this, there is a compelling argument for why Pokémon is a better series for adults to watch.

Since the Pokémon Anime has been running for more than 25 years, the series has amassed more than 1000 episodes and there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight. Pokémon has a running tale that periodically picks up the pace, but overall the show follows an episodic format that emphasizes creature celebration above plot development.

The younger audience, who may not be aware of when the pivotal moments in the story arc will be relevant, may find this balance to be more frustrating. Additionally, after using episodic episodes for many years, it is simpler to step back and appreciate their ability to stand alone. The value of imaginative storytelling is increasing.

However, once you get past childhood, it’s a pretty bad Anime. After just some episodes, you’ve pretty much seen the entire series because the characters are so unbearably stupid, the plot hardly ever advances, and the action is so monotonous. Nevertheless, if you want to feel nostalgic then it’s not too bad of a choice either.

Should I watch Pokémon in chronological order?

It is not required to watch all Pokemon seasons in order because, in each season, Ash competes in a new tournament and begins from the beginning.

You can also view the movies at random or after finishing all of the episodes. The movies are mainly canon and deal with distinct adventures with legendary Pokémon that only appear on rare occasions during the seasons.

Because most of us grew up watching the anime and are familiar with the characters, and Pokemon is episodic in nature, you can begin with whichever series you like. Nonetheless, we recommend beginning with one of the pioneer seasons.

Where can you stream Pokemon?

Pokemon seasons and movies can be found on Netflix US, Pokemon TV, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. The series is available on all websites with both English subtitles and dub.

Several anime are geo-blocked in various countries. If the anime isn’t available on any streaming website in your location, you can circumvent the geo-block by using a VPN.

There are numerous premium VPN services accessible, but there are also free options. You may also use free browser addons VPNs from the extension store.
