One-Punch Man: Is God The Series Final Villain?

Saitama’s undeniable strength has remained a constant throughout the One-Punch Man Manga series.

Many exciting battles and developments involving heroes have been highlighted by the hero’s magnificence.

But in addition to the legendary B-Class hero, One-Punch Man has hinted on numerous occasions at the presence of a strong person who could be on par with Saitama.

One-Punch Man’s “God” is a supernatural being that appears to give individuals power, but only at enormous expense.

The skillfully painted character has appeared in many chapters of the Manga, leaving fans wondering about the true nature and purpose of this person.

One-Punch Man also contains hints that “God” might be the series’ eventual antagonist. So, is God actually real?

Is God really the final villain in One-Punch Man?
Fans have been curious about the exact nature and function of the deftly painted character who has appeared in numerous chapters of the Manga.

What is One-Punch Man?

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by One. Madhouse developed an anime adaption, which aired in Japan from October to December 2015.

It depicts the narrative of Saitama, a superhero who becomes bored with a lack of challenge because he can destroy any opponent with a single punch. In early 2009, one assembled the original webcomic manga version.

Powerful monsters and villains wreak devastation on a supercontinent version of Earth with four Moons. Agoni, a wealthy, establishes the Hero Organization, which recruits superheroes to battle evil. Saitama, an unrelated hero from City Z, does heroic stunts as a hobby. He has trained for three years to be able to defeat any opponent with a single punch, his unrivaled strength leaving him bored.

Is One-Punch Man worth watching?

One Punch Man is a fascinating deconstruction of shonen cliches. It’s quite likely the finest shonen parody ever created.

Apart from that, One Punch Man has a lot more going for it thanks to its more buried depth, very appealing characters, humorous yet yet serious tale, and stunning animation.

To begin, this has already been said, but One Punch Man depicts what happens when the main character reaches their end phase, if that makes sense unlike most shows where the protagonist begins weak and gradually improves (which is perfectly fine).

One Punch Man is a narrative in which the protagonist has already achieved maximum strength, surpassing everything in the show literally. In some ways, Saitama is the polar opposite of Goku. Saitama may be described as a Goku who never met Raditz and remained the strongest forever.

Who is God in One-Punch Man?

It is difficult to give a clear response to the question, “Who is God in One-Punch Man?”

However, key developments in the series enable one to deduce useful hypotheses that provide an indication as to the being’s real identity.

Genus discussed “God” in relation to limiters in the first few chapters of One-Punch Man, thus it’s likely that the character of “God” in the book is more powerful than readers realize.

Chapter 109 of the Manga first revealed God’s identity when Homeless Emperor, a prominent member of the infamous Monster Association, discussed how his abilities came to be.

It appears that Homeless Emperors’ skills were a gift from God rather than being inborn or self-developed.

With the help of the mystery being, “Homeless Emperor” was changed from an unremarkable, unknown person into a potent force used by the Monster Association.

When Pykos, one of the main antagonists from the One-Punch Man series, united with “Orochi,” the leader of the Monster Association, to beat Miyuki, the #2 S-Class esper hero from the Hero Association, the half-visible entity was once more exposed.

Psykos was given incredible power by the fleshy-appearing entity, which drastically increased her offensive potential and allowed her to catch up to or even outperform Tatsumaki in terms of esper-related skills.

One could have concluded from these experiences alone that God in One-Punch Man is a bad entity with the intention of overthrowing the Hero Association.

But after appearing to Saitama, the S-Class Hero Flashy Flash, and the Monster Association’s Oculette, God dispelled any potential hostility toward the Hero Association.

A mystery cubic object was connected to the being known as “God.”

After the group touched the cube, they heard the entity speak to them telepathically and request a desire, which he would grant if they were deserving.

Saitama, a famous character, naturally declined the offer, but the proposed arrangement showed how God functions.

God communicates with humans through cube-shaped artifacts, bestowing upon them abilities or solutions to their “wishes.”

It seems, nonetheless, that these offerings are not without drawbacks or disadvantages. The true nature of God was disclosed to readers in Chapter 163 of One-Punch Man.

God, the entity that bestows powers, first appeared fully during the conversation between S-Class hero Zombieman and Homeless Emperor about the origin of Zombieman’s powers.

This prevented Homeless Emperor from going into great detail.

Then, Homeless Emperor and the God being were taken to a new garden-filled location where God was shown as a gigantic being with hair-like threads sticking out of their body.

Homeless Man’s life and immense power were instantly collected by God, who also revealed that the Monster Executive most likely broke their pact with God.

Who is the true Villain of One Punch Man?

The current strongest antagonist in the One Punch Man series is Boros.

He was one of the few individuals who the Caped Baldy recognized as a capable combatant. Boros has such tremendous latent energy that he has the power to destroy worlds.

During this duel, he displayed his strength by sending Saitama to the moon. He is an individual who withstood Saitama’s barrage of strikes. In addition, after Saitama struck him hard, he momentarily regained consciousness.

Just before he passed away, he spoke to Saitama, displaying his endurance and all-around strength.

Fans are eager to find out how the current arc will end and how much Garou will develop over the course of the arc.

Other beings, such as God, are said to be absurdly powerful, but due to a lack of achievements, it hasn’t been included in the list.

The introduction of new characters has fascinated viewers, who are enthusiastic about the show’s future.

Powers and Abilities of God

About the whole range of God’s powers, little is known. The top-ranked S-Class hero, Blast, showed up after one of God’s enigmatic cubes materialized.

It can be assumed that “God” poses a very serious threat because it is stated that the hero only steps in to save humanity when it is truly in peril.

Power BestowalPeople can receive extraordinary abilities from a mysterious creature. It granted Homeless Emperor the amazing ability to call forth energy spheres resembling miniature suns that, when they come into contact with one another, burst into enormous, fiery explosions. It also significantly increased the power of Psykos and Orochi during their fusion, enabling them to pierce the Earth’s surface in a single strike and send a continent a great height above the planet in the process. Those who lay their hands on one of the enigmatic cubes and then speak their wishes can also receive abilities from “God.”
Mind IncursionThe homeless Emperor’s mind was open to “God,” who might speak with him there. It could also freely alter how its image appeared in the Homeless Emperor’s head. Later, it appears to have attempted to perform a similar technique on Tatsumaki by taking on the appearance of Blast and luring her into absorbing its powers, but it was unsuccessful. On the other hand, its subsequent attempt at Garou by imposing as Bang proved successful. Despite Garou’s efforts to avoid becoming completely God’s pawn and his ability to keep his identity, the enigmatic figure could nonetheless mentally affect Garou and make him far crueler than before.
TelepathyBy touching one of the enigmatic cubes, “God” can mentally interact with anyone. With Flashy Flash, Saitama, Manako, and Blast, he first communicates via telepathy.
Dimensional ManipulationAs demonstrated when “God” appeared before Tatsumaki and offered her abilities, even if it is imprisoned in another dimension, it is still able to converse with people on Earth. Additionally, according to Blast, “God” was on the verge of piercing a dimensional barrier, and its feet could be seen emerging through dimensional rifts. The heroes on the scene only perceived the spatial rifts as storms without seeing feet extending from them, demonstrating that “God” is capable of casting images of itself even when not fully released into the physical world and conversely hiding from those it does not like to be seen.

Does Saitama defeat God?

Saitama will eventually become so powerful that not even God’s supernatural powers will be able to defeat him.

God gave Garou the ability to obliquely try to stop Saitama.

He now regards Saitama as “the awful fist that stands against God,” suggesting that God is worried about Saitama and his ascent to power because he poses a threat to its schemes to wipe out humanity.

God proclaimed Garou to be his “Avatar” in the battle with Saitama. In addition to his current strength, Saitama is the greatest hero since he is infinite and will continue to expand.

With each new battle, Saitama’s power increased, and Murata Sensei hinted at their upcoming conflict.

However, once Saitama reaches a certain level of strength, not even God’s supernatural abilities will be sufficient to vanquish him.

God attempted to prevent Garou from instructing Saitama in the use of divine abilities, but Saitama did so without difficulty.

He can’t remember Garou’s description of God’s Power because he was absorbed back into his old form after going back in time.

But since Saitama is Limitless, this won’t stop him in the least. For the same reason that God cannot beat Saitama, neither can God’s Avatar.
