The Personality of Gon Freecss

Gon is an athletic, rustic, and pleasant young man on the lookout for adventure.

He is also not particularly good at math. He is, however, very good with animals, having spent a lot of time in the woods as a boy. Gon is an Enhancer, who is famed for their simplicity and determination. Because of his tenacity and talent, he has gained the trust and support of both potential allies and adversaries.

He has inhuman senses; Gon has a heightened sense of smell, almost like a dog’s, as well as excellent vision and taste.

At the same time, his weaknesses include his temper and impetuous personality. Gon occasionally fails to think things through, which causes him to suffer. Despite having talent well beyond the ordinary for his age, whenever his abilities are challenged, he feels compelled to prove his adversary incorrect.

The Personality of Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto is described as noisy, enthusiastic, and unconventional, much like Hashirama Senju. When he is emotional, he ends his sentences with “Dattebayo!”

He acquired his mother’s speech quirk. Though he thrives on competition and is not hesitant to seek help, Naruto is rather naive and slow to grasp concepts or situations. He frequently needs an oversimplified analogy to understand explanations and can be forgetful. Naruto is aware of his flaws and admits to acting tough to hide his humiliation and anger from them.

Despite his naivety, Naruto is highly perceptive, picking up on details that others miss and remembering knowledge gleaned casually through conversation.

Is Gon Stronger than Naruto?

It’s not even a competitionno version of Gon is capable of even touching adult Narut. Not even Adult Gon could dream of landing a single punch.

Destructive Capabilities and Strengths

In Hunter x Hunter, the God-Tier characters are easily capable of annihilating entire mountains. For example, The Chimera Ant King, Meruem,

You can therefore scale adult Gon (the strongest version of Gon) to Meruem, who is mountain-level, and perhaps even a small-country level; at best, this is nothing compared to the powerhouse that is Naruto.

Now, Let’s see what Naruto’s lowest-tier characters are capable of.

Gamabunta (Narutos Summon since he was a child) destroyed an entire island, which makes possessing Gamabunta essentially equivalent to having a Bijū

He can transform into Kurama, fight with a sword, and has his island-busting Jutsu.

Another prime example would be our favorite Blonde Akatsuki member Deidara, who is an excellent example of a high low-tier character. His most considerable feat was his C3 explosion which showed us that he could blow up an entire country.

C3 explosion
It was clear from the C3 explosion that he was capable of destroying an entire nation.

The mid-tiers, which are the weaker Bijū (1-7 tails), are casually capable of vaporizing continents with their bijuu bombs.

The high mid tiers, like Kurama, and perhaps the eight tail. They are capable enough to destroy planets casually. Kurama could come in and turn a world to dust if he wanted to.

So many powerful characters are found in the Naruto franchise and Naruto is stronger than them all Therefore, we can conclude that in terms of destructive power, Gon is several times weaker than Naruto.

Stronger Opponents

The strongest opponent Gon has faced yet is Neferpitou, who’s way weaker than the King, Meruem, so he hasn’t had much experience with massively stronger foes.

The villains in Naruto, on the other hand, would make Gon forget about his ambitions of becoming a hunter. We have opponents such as:

Now we finally move onto what we can consider god-like characters in the Naruto verse, Let’s start with carnage personified, The Ten-Tails, which is an amalgamation of all the previous tailed beasts and is thousands of times stronger than then combined, including the Demon-Fox Kurama.

The mid-God Tier characters like Kaguya (the final villain of Naruto: Shippuden) are capable of destroying solar systems. Additionally, Kaguya can effortlessly erase and manipulate the space-time continuum of a dimension, which made her solar system level low-balling.

The high God Tiers like Momoshiki are capable of creating entire dimensions with multiple stars and planets within them. Momoshiki also created a supernova in base form (Unfused).

This means that he would be easily multi-solar system level in his base form, and then you can proceed to add in Kinshiki and the God Tree giving us Fused Momoshiki.

Durability

Gon is as not the most sturdy of Anime protagonists. Pitou was able to effortlessly take away Gon’s right arm (when Gon was an adult, nonetheless), and Genthuru’s Nen ability almost killed Gon. Sure he’s way more durable than any average human, but its nothing crazy.

Whereas Naruto is a tank, he’s been able to tank hits from planetary-level beasts like Juubidara, Isshiki, and Momoshiki and not even falter. Additionally, Naruto can effortlessly heal mortal wounds and deep gashes; due to the Nine-Tails, he has an impressive healing factor, second only to Hashirama.

Now let’s move on to the top Gods of Naruto and Boruto.

The top God Tiers, Like Isshiki, are capable of completely playing with space-time, casually creating a pocket dimension where time ceases to exist, pausing it, and moving, reality warping, and all of that reality-breaking stuff. Naruto as an adult (Baryon Mode), easily scales above all of these people.

Speed:

Adult Gon easily dodged Pitou; he would have to be at the very least faster than 223mi/h (which should be approximately Pitou’s top speed), which would place him way above the speed of sound. My guess would be somewhere around high hypersonic levels of speed.

Whereas Teenage Naruto was able to dodge Ay‘s full-powered attack, which puts him close to the speed of Light, Adult Naruto is a whole different beast.

Naruto can solo every other character I have mentioned as of yet, so comparing him with Gon is a violation waiting to happen.

Gon Vs. Naruto

Who can defeat Gon?

Although Gon may appear like a monster in his universe, he’s a side character for Naruto-level characters, although Adult Gon would be classified as an S-ranking Shinobi in the Naruto Verse.

Besides Naruto, Gon could also be defeated by characters within his verse, making him seem weaker than he is.

Issac Netero

Isaac Netero was the series’ most well-known Hunter and the former chairman of the Hunter Association.

He would have been at least twice as strong in his prime as he was in his old age when he ferociously battled Meruem

Netero was capable of defeating Meruem in battle, something which the King acknowledged, despite his prideful nature.

He would have been able to compete with Gon in a fight if he had been alive, and he would have certainly put up a good fight.

Kurapika

Kurapika, another of Gon’s friends, is a Zodiac sign like Leorio.

He’s an extremely powerful Nen user who excels at Conjuration-based techniques. Kurapika gains an affinity for all Nen types when he uses Emperor Time (his clan’s ability associated with the Scarlet Eyes), allowing him to master everything fully.

He’s proven to be effective enough to fight and kill the Phantom Troupe’s physically strongest member, Uvogin. Kurapika will most likely be nearly equivalent to or stronger than Gon and Killua as adults because he has so much room to grow.

Ging Freecss

Ging is Gon’s dad and a dual star Hunter, meaning he has far more experience than his son.

Although little is known about his abilities, Isaac Netero considers him to be one of the top five Nen users in the entire franchise.

Ging’s abilities have not yet been revealed, but we believe he will be more than able to compete with and perhaps defeat Gon in a fight. Ging could be just as powerful as Isaac Netero, which implies Gon would have a worthy opponent as his father.

Alluka

Alluka, Killuas sister, and her double personality, Nanika, is perhaps the strongest creature in the Hunter x Hunter franchise, which is an impressive feat considering her combat ability, strength, durability, and skill. She has none of that and yet could solo every other character in her verse.

What makes her so dominant is her ability to grant any wishes made by a person who requests said wishes; the extent of her powers isn’t known yet, which is why it’s hard to gauge her ability; however, it could be reasonably concluded that she has infinite potential, as she can do anything a person asks of her.

She was even able to revive Gon, who had forsaken his life, and Nen, to gain the strength to beat Pitou, leaving him dead and unhealable by the end of the battle. So perhaps there’s no limit to what she can achieve.

Does Gon win any fights?

Gon and Killua
By no means feeble, Gon is a gigantic child with unimaginable strength and potential.

Of course, Gon isn’t weak by any means, he might not seem much when being compared with beings that can alter reality and space-time.

But he’s a monstrous child that possesses immense strength and potential.

Here are some of the times Gon won against stronger, more potent Nen users.

Pitou

Pitou was a member of the King’s guard who unwittingly became Gon’s greatest foe when she murdered Kite.

Gon went insane when he confronted her again, but he was propelled by the glimmer of faith that she could cure Kite.

She ended up leading him away from the King before revealing that she couldn’t heal Kite and was prepared to kill him if he didn’t use all of his Nen to defeat her.

Pitou would have easily defeated him if he hadn’t resorted to sacrificing his life to gain power.

Genthru

While Gon and Killua were on Greed Island, someone known as the Bomber was attempting to kill the other players.

Genthru was revealed to be the Bomber, and he needed to be restrained before Gon could finish Greed Island and find his father.

Genthru was so much stronger, and a better fighter than Gon and the sole way Gon was able to defeat him was through meticulous planning and overconfidence on Genthru’s part.

Nobunaga

Gon and Killua were briefly apprehended by the criminal organization recognized as the Phantom Troupe.

They were being brought into question about their knowledge of Kurapika, the chain user.

Despite Gon’s strength, Nobunaga arm wrestled and outscored him repeatedly while he was being questioned.

Gon eventually wins the next match after becoming enraged by the Troupe’s casual attitude toward murder.

Can Naruto solo Hunter x Hunter universe?

Naruto
Hunter x Hunter have characters that defy reality and are absurdly powerful adversaries.

No.

Naruto is dominatingly powerful, yes. In terms of physicality, he’s more potent and faster than anyone in the Hunter x Hunter universe. If the Ant King, Meruem were to get into a fight with Naruto, Naruto would probably beat him with just his pinky.

However, we have reality-breaking characters such as Nanika who’s a dark entity from the Dark Continent, there are ridiculously powerful beings that hint at the monstrous creatures to be discovered on the Dark Continent.

It’s not unthinkable to imagine a horrendous creature or presence from the Dark Continent capable of dispatching even an individual as powerful as Naruto.

And, to be honest, I believe Nanika might easily kill Naruto with a thought, or rather a wish.
